Dusk

When you look at the sky

At the beginning of the dusk.
What do you see?

Do you see the colors so vibrantly showing?
Or the clouds dancing gracefully above you?
Or the sun exclaiming "Good Night" to all of those below?
I will tell you what I see.
None of those.

Sure they are beautiful, but what I see is more than that.
I know that each sunset is one of a kind.
Just like each on of us.

We all dance differently, we all look different
but on the inside we are still human.

Just like no matter what the sunset looks like
it is still Dusk

You'll Always Love Me

I listen to you as you called me near.
I sat down by you and shed a tear.
I wiped it away as you lifted your hand.
But I slapped it away, you don't understand.

You looked at me with defeat in your eye.
but you promised we'd talk, you would not lie.
So I quietly settled down to see what you'd say.
And quite frankly as I listened you took my breath away.

You told me that you've been thinking about us a lot.
And you told me how lonely you've been since we fought.
You smiled at me with tears on your cheeks.
And you told me you're sorry for the last few weeks.

You told that I'm special, and that you missed me so
And the reason that you told me is that you want me to know.
That you promise to change so we can try to work it out.
Because I mean a lot more to you then you can tell me about.

You told me how you've been blind to what you feel
And when you opened your eyes the pain was unreal.
So you took me in your arms and you told me to see.
That forever and always, you'll always love me.

A Battlefield.

The battle sound calls
I stare across the field
Memories scatter under my feet.
The love, the pain, all so real.

You peer back at me
Your lying eyes deceive.
You press your words to draw me in
But I won't come, I plant my feet.

Guns and canons burst around us.
But fire as well, we don't.
As much as my heart wants to join in.
I promise myself I won't.

I know you're not worth it
I thought you were my friend.
But this just goes to show you.
A war is hard to end.

I Love Him

I love him
Yet he doesn't see
The secret in side me
Longing to be free.

His eyes that shine
When he will smile.
The skip of my mind
Love all the while.

I look in the mirror
How can I hide.
The pulse of my heart
When he is by my side.

I can't control this feeling
when he smiles in my direction.
His face on my mind
A lasting impression.

I guess I will live
This burden on me.
The wish of togetherness
Will never be.

You and Me

When we were young
We had a good time.
I was yours and
You were mine.

We'd spend time laughing
and swinging to the sky.
Taking advantage of
When the clock would tick by.

For awhile I was gone.
While you were left at home.
For years we struggled
Always being alone.

But now I am back
And together we'll be.
Always and forever
You and Me.

Shark

In the depth of novels.
Lies a predator so cunning.
Smoothly flowing off the tongue.
SHARK
Words cower in fear around him
As his tail comes swaying by.
Hoping his large jaws won't
Close upon them.
It "Shh" past quiet and
Sneaky through the water.
Catching its prey with a
Quick "Ark"
Swallowing whole the vowels
He devours.
Leaving nothing behind but the
Broken constants.

Honor

Honor treads through the footsteps of his ancestors left behind. Always knowing whats right and wrong and uplifting those around him. When called to battle he's the first to step up and when death knocks at his door he invites him in like an old friend. he knows his past and stands proudly in front of it, never surrendering until his destiny is fulfilled. he cries tears of joy and sometimes dread for those who die around him, never letting them die in vain. He lingers in the hearts and minds of many as they follow in deep steps behind him. Honor is the one soldiers look up too and fight to always be.
